Small company, big-hearted games
Mighty Panther Productions is a new indie video game studio—small but ambitious, fiercely independent, and powered by pure imagination. Founded by one passionate developer, our company may not have a sprawling team or limitless resources, but what we do have is a relentless drive to create games that resonate, games that bring delight, challenge, and, most of all, lasting memories. At Mighty Panther Productions, we believe that the magic of a game is not found in its shiny visuals or cinematic cutscenes, but in the fun, surprising, and memorable gameplay elements that make the game memorable.
What makes a video game unforgettable? Is it a twisty narrative that rivals a bestselling novel, or the photorealistic rendering of every blade of grass? For us, the true spirit of gaming lies somewhere else entirely. It lives in the “gameplay story”—those moments that aren’t really about plot or dialogue, but about what you, the player, experiences between the lines.
Whereas a plot story is delivered to the player through cutscenes and dialogue, the gameplay story unfolds in the mechanics, the challenges, and the tiny surprise details and settings that you discover as you play. These are the moments you will recount when you think back to your time with the game.
You’ve experienced it running down the scenic, exploding mountainside in Strider…Hearing the warm music start the first time you get transported from the frozen wasteland to the floating Kingdom of Zeal in Chrono Trigger…Blowing up the underwater corridor in Super Metroid…The first time you discovered and suited up as a Hammer Brother in Super Mario Bros. 3.
Mighty Panther Productions is a one-person studio, which means our games might not boast the kind of high-end graphics seen in blockbuster releases. And that’s by design. We believe that fun, compelling gameplay always trumps fancy visuals. Our focus is on designing elegant mechanics, meaningful choices, and systems that surprise and delight you every time you pick up the controller.
Great graphics can set a mood, but it’s the interactive heart of a game—the moment-to-moment play—that keeps you coming back. Our mission is to craft games where the gameplay story is always at the center, where what you and your character experience in the game matter more than their polygon or pixel count. Whether it’s humor, a cool hidden stage, a surprise second quest, or just a fun little secret NPC that improves the gameplay in your favor—these are what linger, and these are what we set out to deliver.
What else makes our games different? There are no shortage of great, long-duration, highly polished games to pick from these days. But what if you want a shorter game with more charm than pixels and play hours? Or a game that spent a little extra time adding some strange ideas into each level because it wasn't on a strict release timeline? Or a game that was the pure, unfiltered thoughts and imagination of a single person?
Life is short...much like we choose to spend our development time on the gameplay story over presentation, we also like our games to be short--but sweet--so players can get to all the games on their play list. But despite being short, we still want our games to be some of the most memerable.
ZombMe is a new take on the traditional 2D platformer. This time, you're a zombie who is trying to stay dead. The game's demo has already garnered many great reviews, and ID@Xbox has already accepted it.

Originally a prototype, StickType turned into a fully-fledged ID@Xbox game and published to PCs and Xbox consoles.
Developed by spending a little time each day on it for a full year.
Three DLC and a complete bundle version have been released since the original game.
All proceeds have gone to animal charities.
Having released the simple, sprite-based StickType 2D platformer, the plan was to branch out and test our technical chops at other video game styles....ALL of them...at once.
So BlastMorph was built, which supported seven major types of gameplay styles, including first person shooters, third person flying shooter, 2.5D side scroller, side and top shooters, and twin stick shooters.
Every stage required you to be successful in all modes, making this a game dedicated to the dedicated gamers.
After releasing BlastMorph: Outbreak, another dream was completed: designing and building a pinball machine (six, actually) with BlastMorph: Pinball.
Expanding on the multi-gameplay style of BlastMorph, Pinball incorporates 20(!) types of gameplay styles. These different gameplay styles show up as in-game bonus levels on the different tables.
Besides the wild table design and bonus rounds, the user could also earn "Bonus" time in which the gameplay view turns to 3rd person (yes, in a pinball game) and really lets the score skyrocket!
This long-term project sticks with my favorite game genre: the 2D, sprite-based action platformer.
Several hundred types of entities have already been designed, modeled, and animated. The goal is to make each one playable in a Pokemon-like way.
